Lunatic

Disappointment
No, I can't get mad

I am just a lunatic
who sold his wisdom
for a crescent and a candy bar

Suppose you know
Suppose you can guess
you'll never know
my father cut my wings in exchange
to keep the tire glued
but you'll never know how

There was this little parrot once
it repeated everything it heard
but underneath it's shiny beak
and the rainbow colored feathers
hide the spirit of an ancient god
who lost his memory and just observes

And one time that parrot
sold half of his soul
just to save a metal robot
and a cage,

So...

Suppose you know
Suppose you can guess
you'll never know

Perform a miracle of the old
and receive the disappointment of gold
